The key to a democratic super majority? Dropping the gun ban rhetoric. Embracing the 2nd. Worrying about sensible laws around it once they have full control.
I have a hard time believing this is a key obstacle. I think it seems like this is the problem, but that simply embracing progressive policies is good enough. It certainly doesn’t help, I’ll agree with that—but look at a place like Australia. After Port Arthur? Done and dusted.
I'm hoping that the Trump administration can convince liberals that the second amendment is not their enemy, but it's important to remember that every time we get any expansion of gun control it is because Republicans did it.
Republicans will only expand gun control when the 'undesirables' start arming themselves.
It sounds counterintuitive but The most effective path to real gun control is to encourage minorities to exercise their second amendment.
