Not two hours after former President Donald Trump left the Fulton County, Georgia, jail, his joint fundraising committee was already selling merchandise featuring his booking photo.

The former president left the Fulton County Jail at 7:55 p.m. Thursday, and for the first time in his four indictments on felony charges, authorities took — and released — Trump's mug shot. By 9:22 p.m., the Trump Save America Joint Fundraising Committee was selling T-shirts, mugs, beverage coolers, bumper stickers and other merchandise with Trump's face and the words "never surrender."

If Trump had smiled in his mugshot, putting it on merch would have been a fine idea for his campaign.

But the look in that mugshot is just plain sinister. Like if he had TRIED to look guilty, he couldn't have done a better job than he did in that photo.

We all know his supporters are a cult, so this won't bother them at all. But if they go putting this evil-looking mugshot in everyone's face for the duration of the campaign, they are going to turn off a lot of the independent voters.

I have to wonder who the hell can really be considered an “independent voter” at this point..? Like who honestly hasn’t made up their mind one way or another by now?

I think at this point "independent voters" are always-Republicans who also look and can't believe what happened to GOP.

There are an ocean of people who would never ever browse a politics forum for fun or watch the news.

He and Eastman were both trying to pull off this 'righteous anger' vibe. It's fairly offensive, really.

Maybe this is cultural, but it's giving "scared" vibe.

There's all these worry lines on his forehead, his eyes are opened wider than normal, and his mouth is twisting like he's trying not to cry.

that's the glare of a man who knows he's about to get fucked by the legal system. The only play he has left is to grift his base and hope they're enough to vote him into office.

And lets be honest. they eat up his 'defiance' like candy, because they're too stupid to see the red eyes from blubbering all night long.
