It's not a particularly political sort of place. It's a lot of aesthetic and educational posts so far. I'm picking up a lot of chinese cultural things there, but no politics beyond the occasional trump meme.

No you’re correct. “History/current events” eg Ukraine war and ww2 content abounds, but the original users specifically recommend not talking about politics (outside of upholding the one China policy ofc)
Are Americans capable of not talking about politics? I guess the MAGA chuds probably won't be joining a Chinese app so that probably helps.
