I do honestly see the US adopting the purge because some CEO decided it would give their security company a 3% increase in profits.

I'm pretty sure some of the worst recent trends in policing can be traced back to investments made by Peter Thiel and other silicon valley ghouls, so probably.

I've heard that some of the movies have pretty subtle messages towards it being class warfare, but as always with this sort of thing, the CHUDs only accept the most surface level interpretation from "don't build the torment nexus"
