Like yeah world tensions are high, multiple nuclear-state proxy wars…shit doesn’t look good but let’s not start The End is Nigh-ing.
I get it, lots of users here are depressed but that doom has just infected every facet of their lives. Instead of taking the grill pill and submitting to not being able to do anything meaningful to change to course of history, they welcome the horrors that can be because deep down they want those horrors to materialize since they have already subjected themselves to living a life of misery.
I agree with your point, but this second comment reiterating your first feels a bit uncomradely / punching down-ey
History is an objective process. “Welcome” is not the right word, but getting prepared and using theory to guide our understanding of where the world is heading towards, and being able to strategically prepare for a potentially new reality ahead of time are what the left should be doing.
How are you preparing for nuclear war?
We don’t know that. One of the reasons we are supposed to argue for deescalation and sabotage of imperialist violence, it’s because it leads to untold levels of carnage.
We don’t know that nukes are not gonna fall in 3 months? I get it’s a possibility, but I’m not the one telling people to prepare for the imminent nukes.
