I find that I prefer playing games on my PS5 so that I'm not battling Windows updates, spending a bunch of time tweaking settings, etc. But the shooter genre is something I'm finding very difficult on a controller. I grew up playing Unreal Tournament, Quake, etc., and I find it extremely easy to jump into games like Titanfall 2, Doom Eternal, Arc Raiders, and more on PC. But when I go to play them on console, it's very very challenging. Returnal is something that I would breeze through like it was nothing on PC. But I like the plug and play nature of console, plus being able to play on my couch easily. The controller effects are fun too. But every time I miss a dumb shot on a suicide bomber enemy, it makes me frustrated. Same thing with Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, and any other game that makes you aim.

Is there a trick to it that I am missing?

I wanted to share this here to see if anyone else has this psychological issue or if there is a solution for it that I'm just not creative enough for. I, like many others, have an obnoxiously large backlog of games. Plenty of them are great games. Control, Horizon, God of War, and many others come to mind. However, despite starting these, I always find myself ending up back on my "staple" games. Warframe, Starcraft 2, and RuneScape. I don't know what it is about these games that draws me to them. Is it the longevity, the fact that they will probably never end and will theoretically still be around in 10 years? Is it just because I honestly prefer them?

It makes it difficult to find new experiences. Control is the most recent example, where I've been very excited about unlocking new weapons, going to new areas, unlocking rooms because of puzzles, etc. But this morning, when I woke up, once again...I just ended up logging onto Warframe and doing the exact same crap I've been doing for the last 15 years or however long its been.

Is this something other people run into?

Employees at Doom studio id Software have voted in favour of union representation with the Communications Workers of America (CWA), which has been recognised by Microsoft.

The decision follows QA workers becoming the first group at Microsoft to form a union with CWA representation back in 2023. It means id Software is now a wall-to-wall union, including developers, artists, programmers, and more.

ETS2, West Balkan or Greece DLC?

I hope I don't brake any rules, but recently I saw a stream of ATS, and I thought of playing again some ETS2 for Christmas.
I have the Italia, France, Beyond the Baltic sea, Road to the Baltic sea and Iberia, And I was thinking to get West Balkan or Greece.
Which would you recommend getting?

Also Nordic Horizon wasn't already in game? how come its a DLC now? Because I remember doing deliveries with double wagon.

When going through the list by platforms, it will also list games that got relisted, though some lack the [RELISTED] tag but are being sold as packages with other similar games (Doom 1+2, Heretic+Hexen), as remasters only (Soul Reaver 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid 2) or as a "final edition" with all updates and DLC as if it was a different game (Super Lucky's Tale, Street Fighter 4)

For every online-only game, the reason was a matter of publishers no longer being able/willing to keep servers running - Super Monday Night Combat is a peculiar case because the reason for the shutdown was that their netcode didn't comply with European GDPR

For single player games, the most common case is copyright imbroglio. There is also the case of Tax Heaven 3000, which was delisted from Steam before release, but it remains available on itch.io

The lists also contain the shovelware asset flip clones, like "The Last Hope" which surprises nobody when they get delisted, really.
