Hello.

It was some time ago so I'm not sure but I think I tried picodrive to play a Saturn game. It was Shining Force 3 scenario 1.

While the game was running without bugs, it was sloooooow and it wasn't the best experience.

Now that it's 2023, what would be the most optimized emulator to run saturn games at full speed ?

Thanks for your help.

Aside from Egg, I can't afford a controller.

Hey all,

A while back I made a post requesting any information about emulating games on the Tensor chips from google.

Just recently I broke down and bought the pixel 7.

I will likely be doing some gaming and reporting back here what I find. I will try and aim for the harder to emulate of each of the big console generations that are currently well supported on android.

With that all being said, are there any here that would like any games tested on the pixel line? I have an extensive physical retro game library and have the means to rip the roms from any of them.

Hey everyone, this is kinda a nothing post but I just wanted to express my excitement in discovering the existence of this community. I migrated from Reddit and one thing that I really missed was the EmulationOnAndroid sub. So I hope that we can once again be able to discuss about playing games in ways they were not meant to be played and collectively blow the minds of our younger selves.

For the sake of discussion, which games made you really get into emulation on android?

For me, it was Lost Vikings on the SNES. It's a really fun puzzle game with a unique mechanic based on switching between your 3 main characters. I still can't believe no one, AFAIK, has replicated this game mechanic since.

Oh and sorry if this post is a bit long.

RetroArch seems to be very cross platform, but which one is your favorite?

I am currently a primary iPhone user, however I am planning a return to android in the next year. I always use custom Roms and lately it feels like I will be moving to GrapheneOS which will require me to move to a pixel phone. I have used a pixel in the past with GrapheneOS on a pixel 4a, but I have yet to use a non snapdragon variant.

I know historically, at least it seems, that Adreno tends to get the most development of emulation geared towards it, specifically on the high end. But, does anyone here have experience using Mali on higher end emulators. I see yuzu has added support recently, but I usually stick too my steam deck for Yuzu. Generally I would be curious about AetherSX2 performance, but any level of insight is greatly appreciated!

Either way I will being going with it, so I suppose I can follow up here with my testing and compare it, relatively poorly, to the SD 8gen1 in my tab s8 ultra.

Hello all! I am interested in trying to play portal on my android device. It is a high end device (s23 ultra) and I have a gamepad.

Which would run better: [srceng-android]https://github.com/nillerusr/srceng-android) or skyline emulator?

The creators of Skyline just teased their new project named Cassia and showed off some demos such as the Windows version of SuperTuxKart.

What we know so far (subject to change): It will be an emulator based on Fex-Emu but specifically made from the ground up for Android, it will support 64bits and 32bits programs/games. Cassia will have its own game launcher and a desktop mode. The setup process will be straightforward as the emulator will not use a Linux userpsace and will not rely on Termux like Box64.

Currently, there are several alternatives to run Windows games/programs on Android:

Citra Canary Premium? (discuss.tchncs.de)

Hi all, I decided to pay for Citra's premium features to support the devs and get access to some creature comforts that come with it. That's all fine and well, but it appears the canary app (apk from GitHub) does not recognize this purchase. Wondering if anyone knows a way around this, or if there's any record of the devs acknowledging it. Thanks for reading!
