2-Minute Tabletop has released a Sci-Fi map called the Power Core (the image used as thumbnail is a zoomed-in portion of the core itself). You can get the full map here:

https://2minutetabletop.com/power-core-battle-map/

In case you don't yet know about it, 2-Minute Tabletop is a site where a few creators (originally just the one) create battlemaps for TTRPGs. Most of the maps are free, with paid option for mutiple variants.

You do have to get an account to download even the free versions (usually a zip with PDF and high-quality JPEGs), or you can just view the medium-sized preview on the webpage.

Huh. I didn’t cross-hatch the inner pillars.

There's also !scifi@ttrpg.network which should have some overlap with cyberpunk.

Another test I wanted to make.

Not quite happy with the result, I find it a bit "meh". But I do intend to use it later in a collage of sorts.

This is a location we played a few years ago (the place where my "milk run" unfolded). though back then we used theatre of the mind. But as I was staring at a blank canvas for this test I wanted to make, I decided to give it a go.

I must confess I’ve never tried his builds. Mostly because I don’t have easy access to a color printer and the last time I tried grayscale papercraft it was underwhelming.

Alas, I usually try making fantasy ruins out of cardboard and scraps. If it ends up crooked, the more ruined they look. 😉

If you're into papercraft, this might appeal to you.

This youtuber usually does a lot of fantasy stuff, but this time we got a Sci-Fi shuttle.

Not sure that's the case, as I was browsing on this instance.

But... I did notice this issue just after I was trying to upload an image with "too many pixels"... maybe I was being throttled because of that?

Just a small test I wanted to try out, but I thought I'd still share.

Whatever it was, it seems to be solved now.

It seems like this issue is back..?

Pretty much every image in the instance is replaced with:

Does anyone know the story about this edition? It does seem like it was intended to be faxed. 😅

Wait… did you even get to use fax machines? Geez, I’m old.

Anyway, while I didn’t play Traveller back in the day, this edition holds a special place in my heart. I had watched Seth Skorkowsky’s videos (I think he had completed the full series, not too long ago if you’re keeping score) and thought: this is the game I want to play. But I was absolutely broke. I got started with Cepheus Engine SRD, because I didn’t even know if my players would like it and didn’t want to spend money that I didn’t even have. I think I got this facsimile edition for $1, and I was ecstatic.

Granted, I had everything truly necessary out of the Cepheus Engine SRD, but I felt like I was chipping in somehow.

Thanks Marc!

For the longest time, I wasn’t sure if a Star Trek game would suit my table. But then they released the Lower Decks and fixed that for me. 😅

Campaign Cartographer 3+

Darn. I still had two “quadrant one”s on this version.

I thought I’d fixed that.

Apparently my issue was a false positive. It seems Lemmy doesn't like large images (even if small in size) but the message saying "too many pixels" was off-screen at that time.

I resized the image and reuploaded. Everything seems fine now.
