Or for a quick fix, use an equaliser to boost the 200-4000Hz frequencies. Put a slight suppression on anything higher and a lot of the music will be quieter.

Can you imagine the sheer frustration of trying to hear and appreciate the glorious dialogue of Deadwood were it subject to the poor standards of current productions?

Get Crazy (1983). Just a fun piece of silliness with a cameo from Lou Reed.

And Electric Larry

"If you think this is expensive now, wait for 20 years" "Not a problem, I'll be retired by then, it'll be someone else's problem"

In Australia we have pre-poll voting (early voting), mail-in ballots, and every election day is a Saturday - with democracy sausages.

Disclaimer - I have a starlink terminal. I feel that the complaints should be made to the various governments that haven't mandated modern terrestrial technologies to those of us outside metro areas.

I live 14km/9m from a town with underground fibre optic. The best I can hope for is geo-synch satellite with data caps and latency around 600ms. I will never see fibre optic rolled out here. I can sort of understand, it's quite expensive and needs to be balanced against income from operations to justify it. But they rolled out electricity, and they rolled out PSTN, so the justification was found in those cases.

So, Starlink found a need and filled it. Had governments filled the need instead, the problem wouldn't exist.

What I'd like to know is how the hell do they manage corrosion in all that salty air? Sure, the op centre is probably filtered and air-conditioned, but if there's one thing about marine environments, salt corrosion will happen, and you can't put 30 coats of paint on a floppy drive's components.

Same in Australia. The libnats (right-leaning) broke the fibre-optic rollout by claiming it would be too expensive, and replaced it in non-metro areas with wireless, claiming 25Mbps was adequate. They didn't mention that slow internet would benefit the Murdoch -owned Foxtel satellite services. And here we are now with internet services worse than some poorer countries.

I chose Starlink because I will never get fibre optic, my only broadband option is geo-synch satellite, with speed and data caps, and 600ms latency.

Underfloor heating is great. Underfloor cooling without some form of dehydration will lead to condensation, moisture, and mould.

It's true. But a v-twin motorcycle like a Ducati or Moto Guzzi ignites your balls like no electric motor can.

"canceling annual plans could trigger fees amounting to 50 percent of their remaining subscription cost" You cannot unilaterally change the T&Cs without an option to opt out of the new conditions, but still insist on the old T&C terms. WTF is wrong with Adobe, are they stupid?
