Good luck, don't focus on what you can't control. Don't focus on this position as anything long-term. Just be pleasant yet guarded, which is pretty much the mo of anyone I have ever met in property. You can learn to ask the questions you need to ask in personable ways. That will make people more apt to answer them, and it'll make your job easier. You've gotta eat, rent has never given a fuck about morals. If you are somewhere liberal, any leg up you can get to be functionally wealthier is a good one (cost of living). Take care of what you need to, stick to a schedule and don't allow for push from any side (including your own). Meter your social life accordingly. Eat, drink, etc - sleep. You'll be okay, as long as you continue to take care of yourself.
Oh yeah, eat real food if you can. Even if it's a small amount, real food is always much better than fake. You work at a grocery store, if you're either produce or in good with produce gank up all the sale items. It's harder when it's a big grocery store, to get solid discounts. I had a buddy who worked at a top-chain who would hook me up with the seasonals nobody wanted. When I worked at a mom and pop, I ate like a fucking villain. Anything that started to go was open-call and hot damn I don't think I ever ate better in my life, even now.
Jay, I love your style. I think this could work as a less is more type situation. I kind of had to do a double take to take in what was going on. Maybe as if the Feducci were the only idiots to think blind-folding ones self makes someone disappear. Then everyone is unamused with their antics. Not sure, it's cute though!
