So trees have evolved truck-sensing organs in the span of mere decades? Unbelievable!

I didn't know this until recently, but tennis balls wear out quite fast. Not structurally, not the felt, but the air inside escapes with the extreme pressure they endure. And soon they don't bounce so well.

If only sports balls had a way to refill the air...

That's exactly my first thought. Whenever I see upcycled things that will just break down into microplastics in nature, I wince.

Way to go Poland. Some countries in the EU are closer to banning calling vegan food "food". BTW, Poland is joining a restrict club with 2 members: Portugal and Spain

When you look in the mirror, you see yourself through a mood filter. If you are feeling happy and optimistic, you will see a nicer looking reflection.

Besides, small things can effectively change how you look in subtle ways. Are the clothes a bit more wrinkly or need adjustment? Do you need a haircut or shave? Did you sleep well and are you drinking enough water? Also, your body posture is different.

My ex has mood swings related to their body image. One day they thought they looked nice and fit, the other day they looked fat and ugly. To me nothing changed, except that on the bad days, they had bad posture in front of the mirror. Unconsciously, they were self sabotaging themselves.

Let me guess before reading: cheap labor? Basically it's a developed country, speaking a European language, with European culture, highly skilled labour, and some of the cheapest salaries in the continent. It's closer than shipping from Asia , so also easier to control quality (which is a big problem when ordering from Asia, specially small amounts). All these extra things mentioned are basically nice to haves, or directly lead to cost reduction.

Yeah? That's why OP posted it here, there are no stupid questions here.

She knows her target audience, who are not smart enough to understand that more bikes and transit means less road traffic, which is better for car drivers. People with one car want the ability to drive thousands of cars. It's beyond greedy and stupid.

Linux sucks because the problems are sometimes hard to solve and you have to solve them yourself. Windows and Mac suck because the ability to solve hard problems is actively being kept away from you by the gatekeepers.

I much prefer "hard to solve".

At least this should show Disney that the problem isn't that people don't watch new IP. This trailer is so boring.

I'm not one to usually diss new UI changes, but this one grinds my gears.

Firefox for Android has released a new menu design. It organizes everything a little differently, which is alright it looks fresh. But 2 things are really annoying and a continuous design trend in Firefox.

  • The option to open page in external app has been tucked away in a sub menu. I used this often and it was in the top level menu before. Companies just love hiding things in menus for no reason.
  • the option to open a private tab as a normal tab is GONE. This is how I use Firefox: someone sends me a link, I click on it and it opens in a private tab by default. If I need to sign in to see it (e.g. private Instagram links) then I open it in a normal tab. This option is now simply gone.

So yeah that's my rant. I'll see if I open a bug requesting the 2nd issue back.

I personally been using it for almost 5 years. I heard about it from a colleague a few years before that but I forgot about it, and then an online ad reminded me to check them out again.
