Golden girls.

There's a reason it's a gay icon.

You should try Semiosis. I just read the second in the series and waiting to get the last one to the library. It's about a earth colony on another planet and each chapter is a different characters point of view most of which are different generations. Great sci-fi concept with a fun read

The reason for the difference is from the Norman invasion when the nobility were French. So they referred to the food only not the animal in their own tongue.

I'm sure it's going to work great. Wild yeasts are everywhere.

I recommend that book because it's all about brewing with things you forage using simple brewing methods. So you won't find a recipe for a traditional "beer" but lots of things like lemon and mugwort "beer". I got it this winter and can't wait to try it out

If you are really interested in capturing wild yeast I would recommend reading Wild Crafting Brewer. There's a ton of information on great wild yeast sources.

I don't think oak leaves were a specific example but it's everywhere. He recommend flowers, fruit and pinecones as great sources

I love it. I should get back into making it myself again. A perfect special beverage just don't drink too much

Bloodroot is a very valuable medicinal so the native wild population has been over harvested. So it is generally rarer then it should be.

It's beautiful though

According to legend aving a theoretical physicist close enough can break any well designed equiment nearby. In the same way a good engineer can make the same equipment work by proximity only.

I just finished reading Turtle Island: Foods and Traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of North America. I read it cover to cover and I am unsure if I will ever make a recipe out of it. But man was it interesting, informative and captivating to learn about the native foods in North America. I can't recommend it enough

Good for you plating rare plants. I want to plant my own next year. I got to sit until my shade garden gets set up before planting them.

My wife and I need to get another car and after test driving a few different EV vehicles we are thinking about getting the Kia EV6. Anyone have one that they love / hate? Anything we should know? This would be our first electric vehicle.

I am looking to get a budget exercise bike for my wife and I to use. Neither of us are super active but want something basic and simple that we can use for 30 minutes or so a few times a week to keep us in shape. We have a new baby so need something at our house that is fast and simple. Doing some research I was thinking about getting this YOSUDA exercise bike with Magnetic resistance bike

I want something that is magnetic to reduce wear and tear and will fit our sizes. (I am 6 ft 1" and she is 5 ft. 1"). It says it works for 6 foot so it should work for me if just a little small. Has anyone used this? Do they like it? Is it cheap junk?
