It's tasty and the bitter stuff sorta satisfies the desire to drink alcohol.

Right? I ansolutely also do find it satisfies the itch that "wants/needs" a drink

Bitter? Most of them are heavily fruit-flavored.

Sour, yes. But not bitter.

I love it. Give me that funk baby. I want all those fermented foods that give me a healthy gut microbiome. Kombucha, Kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt, and some kefir every now and again.

I don't know if the different fermented foods end up fighting in my gut or they live as peaceful neighbors, but the more I eat the more I want.

Beer is the most carbonated drink that I will enjoy, kombucha is just a bit too bubbly for my taste. But it kind of has a similar feeling to drink without getting drunk.

I love it. I should get back into making it myself again. A perfect special beverage just don't drink too much

You're gut will hate you. Will be too pro-biotic

I love it.

The local co-op by me has a bunch of them on tap! The pineapple one is my favorite

Not a fan, but I get why other people sometimes like it.

[–] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What do you think about kefir?

Not really? Instead of mixing regular yoghurt with water, just use drinkable yoghurt. Easy substitution.

I like it. It produces the phenomenon of "bucha butt"

The gas production as a result of drinking kombucha

[–] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Ngl never experienced that highkey

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't think that's common.

[–] buttmasterflex@piefed.social 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh it doesn't happen every time or anything. It's more just what my wife and I call any fart the day after drinking kombucha.

[–] scytale@piefed.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I personally don’t like it that much. If I want probiotics, I’d rather ingest an alternative that isn’t gassy.

never had it but sounds cool.

[–] swelter_spark@reddthat.com 2 points 2 weeks ago

I like the idea of it, but most commercial brands upset my stomach.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think it's gross. It's like alcohol without the fun.

I feel like alcohol is the alcohol without the fun
