I've never filled out hexbear's application but I think it's pretty hard to fail grad's too, I got in first try pretty quickly with both my grad accounts and I remember an incident where a 14 year old anticommunist managed to accidentally get an account on grad lol

what really made me more mad than anything was what I was alluding to, he shit on lemmygrad for forever (and was outright lying about one of our admins being a patsoc) just because he was mad they tempbanned him, and then came back with an apology post. I thought it was sincere, until I go and look at the modlog a day later and see that he had been unmodded from the comms he was mod in on hexbear and even banned from c/news. made it feel really feel insincere especially since all his other behavior (rabid defense of cpusa, spamming of posts, etc) was pretty much unchanged

he just was the cause of a struggle session about khrushev of all people on grad like a week ago lol (which got his grad account banned from hexbear). grad admins are too lenient like hexbear admins too sometimes lol, they already permabanned him then lowered it to a temp ban but even after he kept shittalking grad for months after (until he started getting into spats with the hexbear admins, anyways, curiously changed his tone real quick when he realized he might get banned from hexbear soon ), it still doesn't really seem like he is on a short leash despite that history on grad already and then being permabanned on both pluto and makan on hexbear

i assume this was awhile ago? from what I remember it was pretty easy to make accounts on hexbear before they added the application, just had to give a username and password and maybe pass a captcha? at least that's how I remember it when I made my old hexbear account a ~year ago before the reddit exodus and federation came

no. sounds hilarious though lol

the fun ones are accounts that have writing styles and other quirks that are so specific you immediately know it's a banned user's new account. there's one user that is so distinct I know one of their accounts on multiple platforms without actually trying to keep track of them lol
