Someone please lead a Great Linux Crusade across the wall.

Anyone from that side of the world? I wonder why their Windows usage is so high.

Since those experts aren't activated very often, the performance hit from the slow system RAM isn't as catastrophic as it is on dense models

Aren't experts activated on every single token?

Is it safe to use the mcp-server-docker and web search together in llama.cpp webui? Since it doesn't ask for permission before running tools, I'm worried about malicious search results injecting commands

Guys, instead of a popularity contest, it'd be more productive if we listed the reasons for choosing one or another.

That's really cool. There are a lot of FOSS that need data collection to be accurate and useful. I wish more of them accept donation of anon data. e.g. I'd love to donate my location data in exchange of accurate transit data.

That's unfortunate. I understand the admin's perspective, but most users, myself included, are likely in the dark about these backend issues. It’s frustrating to have barriers to following people in an already small community. Is this just the inevitable tradeoff of federation? If anyone knows of a less regulated piefed instance, I’m all ears.

does anyone know why fosstodon seems to be blocked on piefed.social?

I’m desperate for a community driven review system for open source. We’re drowning in vibe-coded slop, and I honestly don't have the time or a good slop detector to audit every tool I download. I know I should be checking under the hood, but the sheer volume of low-quality projects makes it impossible to keep up

The company that injected crypto referral codes into your links, if someone needs more convincing.

However, the UK is taking a less aggressive stance, with Visa and Mastercard working within the initiative. Both companies are part of the new funders group, giving them a stake and a say alongside a large number of banks.

Brilliant, let the american companies have a say.
