It's a walnut, silly.

My family needs to unionize.

Stuff gated behind a license is usually a good idea. Insurance sales, mortgage underwriting. Wish I had a better head for web dev jobs since you brought it up, but you'd think there'd be something like that available as a WFH gig.

Coffee comes out a little easier to drink while simultaneously more flavorful than my blade/spice grinder. I'd love to give you an answer but i've always been really bad about describing taste. I'll try to remember to ask my wife when she gets home since she's the resident sommelier.

A burr grinder for coffee beans. I thought coffee snobs were full of shit. I was wrong.

On behalf of the metal community, everyone is welcome. Fuck transphobia. Pick all your brothers, sisters, and non-binary family off the ground and lift them up.

Speaking to the fringe is a tactic to win primary support. It's only occasionally hurt him in a real sense so it's effectively reinforced.

Anyone smarter than me able to tell me if state governors/governments have the authority to allow this before the FDA? Last I heard a non-script birth control was still in the pipeline to be sold over the counter.

Yup. I was able to identify the employee running my company's subreddit that was hosting a current/former employee hatefest and many, many leaks, fueling RTO protests and unionization. Took all of about 30 mins of digging through his comments to figure it out. I never acted on it because I support everything about what it would lead to, but if I could figure it out, so could someone smarter than me who works for the interests of my company. He was still at the company, last I checked about six months ago.

some subs are still lively. To be expected, however Lemmy has proven a viable alternative with enough activity to keep me sated, and it's clearly still growing. Every day a new community pops up that reflects a counterpart on Reddit and the remaining niches are quickly being filled right here.

I've just blocked the linux communities. I quite liked Linux when I still had reason to use it, but it's just not something I care to see so frequently when scrolling the FP. Just keep blocking the /c/ you don't want and eventually you'll have a curated list of posts you want to see. But maybe i'm just old, ya young bastard. :p

Just getting everything set up. Open to seeing where this community goes but I generally want to have a place where we share discoveries and help spread awareness for new releases. Maybe get the odd bit of music news every now and then when some good, old fashioned drama crops up again.

Drink some water and eat well tonight, dudes. You're gonna do great with the thing you need to do.

Push Notifications? (lemmy.world)

Is there a way to get push notifications for replies and/or specific communities? There's only a couple that I sub to that I'd want to prioritize and one that I mod.

Blue Dream Auto. I'm growing outdoors in an old ZooMed ReptiBreeze XL I had sitting around from when we raised a spiny tail iguana. It's kept the bugs out but let all the sun and rain in. I mixed the soil myself - mostly peat, sphagnum, perlite, and some earthworm castings - planted in a 5 gal grow bag, and have been just tossing liquid fertilizer in as we get breaks in the rain. Honestly this has been one of the easiest things to grow since I'm accustomed to indoor vivarium plants in the presence of large animals. It's been really rewarding to see daily growth and even more impressive to consider it was in seed only three weeks ago. I was going to mulch the top a month in, but at this point I'm failing to see a reason to do so.

She's hiding under my computer desk while I work. I'm still at a loss for how I became the favorite but I love her.
