I mean when he went to protests of the dnc there were constantly people coming up to him saying he opened their eyes or radicalized them. He seems to be doing more than just grifting idk

Ehhhh it's a union event. The reason they all coalesced so quickly is because she is backed by America's biggest unions to a even greater extent than Biden.

There are interviews with his former classmates about him being a lone conservative. Not enough out there to make conclusions. Also thinking back to hinkley you don't need a robust ideological framework to do an assassination.

On the head to head polling posted yesterday buried deeper in that same poll it showed that most respondents really did not know any of the dem replacements. A lot of Biden being ahead of everyone was plain name recognition. https://x.com/umichvoter/status/1807449998256419136

It's literally name recognition. Harris and Biden are genuinely unpopular and prominent. I recently rattled off half a dozen names of potential replacements, governors and senators, to a bunch of lib friends and the literally only recognized newsom and they are John Stuart watchers and watched the debate meaning they are not completely disengaged.

The eu4 anbennar thing tries to address this by leaning in and exploring liberation of "monstrous" species as well as having a vast enough world where elves can be depicted as both primitive in some parts and classic eligheted trope elsewhere. There was also a crpg called arcanum that also had things like an underclass of orcs forming militant unions in a dnd but industrial revolution world. I remember this retrospective on it https://youtu.be/HMUugZ3DxH8?si=HeNGkI9Pi5vWVajg

Opinion especially among the more hardcore map Gamers has kinda turned on imperator. Played it with the big fan mod that mostly just ads flavor stuff to fill out the map and it was head and shoulders above ck2 vic3. The mechanics are really quite good.
