Mate, going to say this honestly and directly.

You loved the idea of her in your head. And that idea took over.

She didn't share the same feelings and now you're running off emotions, rather than logic.

Spend a week recovering, then move on.

As we watch Kanye, Asmongold, [random influencer] continues to say and encourage their fan base to believe in the most terrible shit...

Remember that if their actions start affecting too much of their pocketbook, they can just apologize. Oh, and pay PR shills to clean up their mess.

PewDiePie spent years putting that belief out in many different ways. What you saw in the news was just what was reported. There's no remorse. Just a "Well sorry that happened".

You're not misremembering.

He had a team scrub that off the internet and now a bunch of people have been gaslit.

PewDiePie's PR machine got you so good you're defending a multimillionaire for his BS.

From what I saw, it wasn't just "hey". Hey was the yellow flag.

It was all the one word responses. To everything. It was the job of the guy to be entertaining on the app to barely any response.

That takes its toll on men, especially when there were women who used it as a source of free entertainment.

Married dude here who has a lot of single dude friends. 1/3 is accurate.

And if it's not Rogan, it's some other right-adjacent influencer. It's fucking weird too. They're regular dudes, helping old ladies on the street and supporting a neighbor. Then suddenly, they crack and share how terrible women are.

Then you got women who are on the other side, complaining about how terrible men are.

I don't understand it.

Nothing has been done. This escalated every month and will only continue.

They also got this massive budget thanks to the bill that just got passed.

I think they have been. But they're not reporting it to avoid copycats.

There was a large number of police shootings in my state when one guy opened fire on a state trooper. Then we were hearing stories every week.

So I'm supposed to believe groups of people with masks running up to folks and grabbing them haven't been getting retaliation back?

Not disagreeing. The issues that come with it:

1 - Not many people will install it because you have to disable default security features. Android gives a huge "Your device is insecure" scary message.

2 - Then you'll get the people who will use this for malicious reasons. Even the app store gets copycats that do nothing but steal information.
