It’s amazing how this guy managed to basically throw away everything he had accomplished for a grifter who doesn’t even give two shits about him.
Fuuuuck it’s addictive. Love that I get it with Apple Arcade.
I’ve never heard the term “genericized trademarks”
I’ve always heard and read it as proprietary eponyms.
I mean innocent until proven guilty and such, but this guy has always been a dope and should never have been elected. I still think Katherine Garcia would have been a better pick.
It’ll be interesting to see what clown the GOP runs against him this time. They could possibly have a decent chance (remember, NYC GOP is generally much more moderate than national level) but it’ll inevitably be some idiot who’s never done anything.
I wonder if he gets a primary challenger.
Also, if NYC were a country, it would be ranked 13th in GDP globally and THESE are the people we get to choose from to run it.
"Lol. These Haitians are wild. Eating pets, vudu, nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters… but damned if they don’t feel all sophisticated now, filing charges against our President and VP," he said
But they’re not suing Biden and Harris who are, you know, our President and VP. They’re suing YOUR candidates because of THEIR dangerous rhetoric.
Why not just make the filibuster what it used to be and require the people who want to wield it to hold the floor for hours upon hours with no break? Some of it was silly. Some of it heroic. Either way, it required someone to truly be willing to stand behind their beliefs and, thus, was used much less often.
He admitted to selling the laptop but claims the girlfriend gave it to him to sell, but he certainly had possession of it.
I still believe the death sentence should be removed from the table if there’s even a shred of doubt which there is plenty of in this case.
I think it’s reasonable to say he might still be guilty. The victim’s personal items were found in his car, after all.
However, there’s doubt and execution leaves no room for doubt. The fact that they’re willing to murder a man whose guilt/innocence is in question is unconscionable.
He sold about 500,000 shares. He owned, apparently, 3.3% of the 17.06 million total shares of the company, meaning he had a little over 562,000 shares. He sold almost all of his shares. That doesn't exactly exude confidence in future growth, IMO.
Just use Firefox.
It was to be expected, but I found Lemmy because of everything that happened, uninstalled Reddit, and now use Mastodon and Lemmy as my social media platforms of choice, so it’s a personal win.
Hopefully, as Lemmy continues to thrive, instances hold up to the pressure of growth and we see an influx of content that made Reddit so valuable to users and Reddit corporate alike.
Maybe though I don’t like using someone’s addiction to poke fun. He did a really good job of overcoming it originally and then pissed it all away like so many other’s left in Trump’s wake.
