The answer is in the first sentence:

As a hacker who likes energy drinks, I decided to check out Monster Energy's corporate infrastructure

He likes Monster and he felt like it. Curiosity and the skills to do something, doesn't take more reason than that.

Warm water will soften the polish, but that includes the polish on your nails, so be careful not to dent it or push it around. Really, just avoid anything touching your nails for a few hours. The polish on your skin will come off pretty easy even if it's totally cured, I've never really thought of it as a concern.

I'm pretty sure the portals spawn at set locations, and there are great spots for bases that monsters can't access at all (except for one creepy guy). There's a great spot in a little upstairs area right by the elevator in the offices.

According to the case website, it looks like it's only people who own a device made by Google that runs their voice assistant. So, Samsung Android users are not included, but anyone with a Google Home device or a Chromecast is included

I learned Kids Playing Catch On Freeways Get Splattered about 20 years ago and I still remember, despite never needing to use it. So, the mnemonic helps to remember, but remembering doesn't really help me

Does this count as linework? My understanding of linework is that it's lines that are done in one or two passes, usually with smaller needle counts. Not quite the same as fine line style, but similar? With large blocks like this, you can correct mistakes on the borders by expanding it outward.
