It’s because we just call it “being a good person” and “not being a racist fuckstick”. Generally the only people who need it are the ones complaining about it, everyone else just considers it business as usual.

So everyone within your very close, related circle is doing ok and that’s indicative of the diverse country as a whole?

Wages are stagnant for everyone. I’m an architectural technologist and wages are absolutely getting worse year over year despite it being an important, educated, in demand job. The fact that you think I’m talking about mall retail points only to your complete failure to have a shred of empathy for the poor and for any kind of job you don’t understand. Also, retail seems to be pretty fucking important and shouldn’t be thrown aside and allowed to have stagnant wages either, you broken twat.

You do know that GDP and economy are different and every year that goes by our economy in Canada gets worse because of heavily stagnant wages and uncontrolled rent and housing prices? It’s not good, we’re just starting from a relatively higher point than many other places.

Also all you did there was compare private(large) to private(small), which isn’t anywhere close to the argument you think it is.

I’m not wholly against that, but I’m sure there are some benefits. Vienna is the one often brought up in these conversations because something like nearly half their rentals are public and the rest are private which keeps the market in check. We just need much heavy controls on landlords and most people don’t have any experience with landlords that aren’t huge, unregulated pieces of shit.

It’s like how private business is not inherently bad but most places do it so badly that people want out of the whole deal.

That’s quite a lot to get out of my comment. I am nearly 100% on the wagon of repair but fuck, people’s soda habits are getting more and more vile to me, that shit’s awful in any even moderate quantity and Coke is one I just can’t drink anymore.

Be late to places where you yourself are not expected. If you’re late to poker or D&D or a concert that is not good, but a party with no schedule and a blanket invite to a bunch of people is totally fine to be late because people are expected to come and go.

Even still, being on time is a good thing even if we can agree that the anxiety maybe isn’t.

This makes sense but also the example situation only serves to try to generate sympathy for them.

A mother making three different meals is ridiculous, but needing several services and recreating cable for $40/mo is also stupid.

Right but again, tens of millions of them are and many tens of millions are not distancing themselves from it at nearly even the bare minimum speed.

The general populous had their chance to prove they weren’t that stupid and horrible about a decade ago. And then they all flocked toward Trump three times in a row. Maybe you’re not understanding, which tracks, but even the best case scenario is that the US is filled to the brim with people so utterly, fantastically stupid that they fall for the shit that the conservatives peddle and many who don’t vote GOP still think the conservative Dems are gunna save them.

All the resources in the damn world and it’s a country of poverty, stupidity, and cruelty. Fuck the US.

So the tens of millions of Trump supporters, and the tens of millions of useless centrists, and the tens of millions who don’t even show up…ya know I think that they’re onto something, actually.

The US is a shithole and there are far fewer good people there than shitty or even barely acceptable people. I feel sorry for the good people who live there, really I do, but in general the place can get right fucked.

So is water. If you’re drinking enough soda for it to matter you’re drinking too much soda.

Rentals do have their place for people like students, and some businesses who regularly send employees to a city(rare but it happens). Rentals are not inherently bad, but the expectation that someone should rent as a longterm plan is completely fucked. We do not need this many many rental units in the world, not at all.

“You see, I’m a complete fucking idiot and huge bigot, and while the latter basically requires the former it’s so much of who I am that I feel it best to mention. Anyway, I hear some buzzing in the sky, gunna go check that out.”
