Honestly I actually think this is a good sign. There was a point toward the end of 2024 when Trump could have come out and said the moon is made of cheese and polls would say 50% of Americans agree with him. The fact that in less than two years Trump has lost 50% of his base is insane. He's is hemorrhaging support.

If numbers keep moving this way the midterm elections, which happen later this year will be interesting to say the least.

One interesting point in the article you posted rather than OP's is that according to Ipsos only 17% of Americans approve of taking Greenland. I have no clue what the truth is but that number 'feels' a little more accurate.

In short that would mean 17% of Americans are ride or die MAGA which sadly is a believable number.

You sure about that? Ethan Peck is four years older than Nimoy was when he started to play Spock. The current iteration of Spock only feels younger because Ethan clearly has a good skincare routine.

I feel like if you put something like that on a package you should probably give some kind of indication as to why it's not vegan. Like maybe for clarity in parenthesis next to the item "natural and artificial flavorings (not vegan)"

Christmas at it's heart is a religious holiday, it deeply bothers me, to be immersed in Christian family values for what now seems to almost two months out of the year.

I've never been a member of the Judeo-Christian faiths, I didn't have a particularly good upbringing so I'm not really close with my family. I'm addition I don't have children and I have zero plans on becoming a parent. So in short, this holiday is not for me.

Then to add insult to injury and you have the blatant consumerism. Where you are forced to be a good capitalist and spend money on gifts you can't afford to buy gifts people for don't really want it. Yay.

Edit: After scrolling I was reminded of the music. Holy fuck is the music bad. It amazes me that there are people out there who will happily and VOLUNTARILY put this drek on. As a listener of hard rock and metal holy crap does the music set me off.

You do know that not everyone is looking for a caffeine fix and there are people out there who do not drink coffee or tea, right?

Would you be able to give examples of healthier behaviors that vegans and vegetarians perform that the general population does not?

If one made their choice to abstain from meat for ethical reasons and not health reasons I'm not sure their lifestyle would be drastically different from their counterparts, then again I'm not sure what particular behavior patterns you are referring to which could throw off studies.

I think this is the correct answer, outside of large cities it is not legal to build apartments or row houses in many places in the States. It would probably be significantly easier to skirt the zoning laws to buy a plot of land and put 100 tiny houses on it, than to attempt to get some sort exception granted to the zoning in order to build an apartment or row house.

Yes. Yes I did.

Same. I came to Lemmy because Reddit sucks, I'm looking for memes, cat videos, humorous and/or thought provoking content.

Instead my all feed is filled with an echo chamber of political content. Not gonna lie, Lemmy is forum that takes itself away too seriously, I don't interact because I don't want to argue politics with strangers online, and I know any differing options get down voted to hell.

I really wish Lemmy had a little more fun engaging, apolitical content. If it did, I'd be all over it.

None, I've never particularly liked them. I know some people love them, but to me they don't smell great, kinda sulfurous farts and they have an odd smushy consistency when cooked.
