I've wanted for a while to use an ai to automatically argue with pro ai people. They will be pestered by that which they adore.

It's a matter of effort vs reward. Will it make it easier to sleep? Yes. Will it make it easier enough to be worth not using my phone? No.

It can be made quickly and efficiently, even by people without skills or talent in c/lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world

The book Scythe had a good portrayal of a scentient ai and its reasons for taking over the government. It's just backstory so i don't think it's spoilers, still gunna tag it.

spoilerThe Thunderhead ai was created to help humans and make them content. It realized pretty quickly governments ran counter to that idea. So it got rid of all of them. Now it's a utopia. Actual utopia or as close as you can get most are content and live their lives enjoying them. The massive problems with the system are due to humans not the Thunderhead.

It kinda depends on the reason for cage time. If it's a punishment then the phone is weird. But if they are sleeping in it for the night then let them have their phone until bedtime.

If I was a secret immortal how long could I keep the same US ID for before I get taken away for study. I'm thinking 150 years. (discuss.tchncs.de)
 

It's not like there are people checking for immortals, I think it would be flagged by a dmv employee or something when they dont believe a clear 21 year old is actually 150. Let's assume it's current day im caught and not bring speculation on what the US is like in the year 2139 is like.

Does color change how hot a laser can get something? (discuss.tchncs.de)
 

For convenience sake let's say you have 2 identical lasers, one is blue and one is red. And you shine it on lead (so none of the light leaks through) until the lead doesn't heat up anymore. Would the temperature change at all between the different color lasers. It doesn't have to be red or blue, it could be microwave or x ray, just different colors is nessisary.

Why can't people make ai's by making a neuron sim and then scaling it up with a supercomputer to the point where it has a humans number of neurons and then raise it like a human? (discuss.tchncs.de)
 

I know current learning models work a little like neurons but why not just make a sim that works exactly like how we understand neurons work
