Shouldn't the paper be crumpled ?

You call F35 the best ? The thing cannot fly well on a rainy day & it has shit landing-gear.

Get Sukhois, Eurofighter, Migs or Gripen (Rafales are good too)

[–] MITM0@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Yes, but it can be wired-out

In the meantime port linux OSs to be easilly installable on Android devices

Why would your code be embarassing ? Yes I get it, but so what, you fork it & do your own thing.

It's not a perfect solution

[–] MITM0@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

But you still use it, no ?

So I guess it is time to switch to a different style of FOSS development ?

The cathedral style, which is utilized by Fossil, basically in order to contribute you'll have to be manually included into the group. It's a high-trust environment where devs know each other on a 1st-name basis.

Oh BTW, Fossil is a fully-fledged alternative to Git & Github. It has:

  • Version-Tracking
  • Webserver
  • Bug-tracker
  • Ticketting-system
  • Wiki
  • Forum
  • Chat
  • And a Graphical User-Interface which you can theme

All in One binary

Tempting, but even that is not good enough as another reply pointed out

Not good enough, you need to poison the data

So now that discord has made a major oopsie, people are now talking about alternatives. However I do not see people mention XMPP a lot (Compared to Matrix, which gets mentioned a lot).

So I was wondering if we all could brainstorm & share:

  • what features Discord has that XMPP currently does not
  • & whether those "features" are being worked on
  • & if so then; useful links can be provided.

Also let's keep this post as active as possible to track development, if you are interested.

I hope you don't get one. Oh BTW, America has emancipation laws.

I want to some guidance.

So let's say you created a PGP key & then proceeded to create 2 subkeys. Is it possible to just export the particular subkeys only. (let's say one for encryption & the other for signing) for OTHERS to import into their keyring for authentication & encryption ?

So basically I want to ask whether if anyone here used any Libre-Formats ??? Like OggVorbis, Opus, FLAC, Theora, Matroska/MKV etc.....

I want to know their benefits over the proprietary ones. It'll also be educational for anyone coming across here.

I particularly want to know about .MKV

I am quite nervous while asking this question, but let's say one wants to create a language.

What materials & tools one could use to get started on this path of madness ??

EDIT: I wanted to create an alternative to Javascript😂 with a syntax similar to Bash

We have this "meritocratic" right wing christian "centrist" relishing in the fact that Debian has gone political & is now struggling because the devs don't want to work for them.

I was wondering if some of nice people could share your opinions on it, especially on his solutions.

MY OPINION:

"Getting political" in these ways is both useful & a good idea. NO ONE & NO organizational body is neutral. Even just in internal day to day interactions, taking clear political policy like this is one step in preventing an environment from degenerating into one that is toxic & bigoted. This doesn't even have to be a right vs left issue. No one in their right minds should want to be racist or homophobic or allow an environment that promotes such a culture.

Also, being an open-source supporter & any level of rightwing is self-contradicting. Private property is the cornerstone of capitalist ideology & free software fundamentally twists information property against itself, turning the freed software into a commons. Left wing is far more meritocratic than right wing.

A MicroNation Community (www.youtube.com)

I'm just asking if there's a Lemmy/Mbin/PieFed community (or any federated community/forum) that's dedicated to MicroNations here ?

(The Youtube link is just for knowledge purposes I was also adviced that this was the appropriate community to post this)

Are there any proper FOSS/Libre City-builders on both Android & desktop ?

(Similar to Sim-City & City-Skylines)

So I don't know if this is the right place to say this but, How does one find smaller (& new) gaming channels, especially when those cool channels get algorithmically burried ??

Also please do list out your favorite small-medium gaming channel & why you like them

EDIT: Thank you for your reccomendations, please do keep this list active for others to see

Are there any serious attempts (Not talking about NewPipe) on creating a truly FOSS alternative/Clone of FUTO's GrayJay app ??

Ok so I don't know if this protocol has got anything to do with Federation, but it's an interesting protocol regardless

It's used mostly for logistics. I'm interested in your thoughts https://becknprotocol.io/
