Bumble for Friends is starting to feel like a dating app! People match and never reply, or they tell you to message on Instagram, which I don't have. The latest is some dude trying to flirt with me. Umm wrong app buddy. You're meant to be on the other one...

Someone asked me how my day is going. That's nice but what about finding common interests? I don't want to tell you that I've played games with my cousins or worked a boring shift, what are you going to do with that info?!

So I'm just going to go to more in-person things. Fuck meeting people through this app. I always thought I'd meet a partner through a dating app, but I guess I'd rather be single for the rest of my life than have to go on one of those again.

Also BFF is going kind of shit, because I'm matching with people but I've gotten no replies, even from the people that initiated. I think I'm just going to focus on myself but put myself out there. If there are people, cool. If not, then at least I tried.

I realised that next semester, I have to do a presentation in front of a bunch of academics, which is kind of a simulation for what we will have to do in the career at some point. I heard one of these academics say when they assess us they will be thinking, "Would I want this person teaching my child?"

I want to run back into my comfort zone.

My mum would always say she's going to drop me off there everytime we drove past it.

I think a lot of the time, at my age, people fall out with their friends or just become more isolated, as everyone goes their separate ways after studying. I know a couple of people who met some of their closest friends from there and they've just gone overseas together. But I will be cautious.

Oh no. I think the experience is different for girls as guys a few were there looking for friends. I have a couple of acquaintances who met their close friends from there.
