You seem to misunderstand. It's for the primaries, get out there and do everything you can to get a decent candidate on the ballot. Go door to door, print flyers, vote, convince your friends and families to vote, make 'donations' to people who vote for good candidates since apparently that's legal now. Anything you can to make sure a real progressive is the choice.
But yeah, if somehow it ends up being a choice between Newsom and Trump's third term, you probably should choose Newsom over Trump because that's an obviously less destructive choice and you'd be an absolute moron to sit that out at the end if those end up being the only two choices you have

No shit Harris sucked, but she sucked a whole lot less than Trump and moving incrementally left from Harris would have been a HELL OF A LOT easier than moving left from Trump. The people who didn't vote, I think, are worse than Trumo supporters because at least Trump supporters made moves to do what they thought was best while you sat around and twiddled your thumbs and let the world burn around you instead of doing the bare fucking minimum available to you to stop it, or at least slow it down to make it easier to change it in the near future
I am recently new to Lemmy as a whole. I didn't understand what federation meant or how different instances worked and my first instance was .world. It was not a great experience and nearly turned me away from Lemmy as a whole because it seemed just as bad and corrupt as Reddit (although, with less bots.) Someone explained to me how it worked and convinced me to go to a different instance. I think if I had come to a different instance in the first place, I wouldn't have had that experience. I wonder how many people were like me and weren't lucky enough to have someone tell them to just move?

You can say no to the face scan at those. The TSA agents don't get paid enough to try to convince you otherwise and just say "okay." The amount of people just willingly scanning their faces for whatever nefarious bullshit they want to scan faces for does not surprise me, but does cause me dismay

Right, Harris sucked. So glad I didn't vote and Trump won instead. That has worked out so much better for Iran and the rest of the world, too. Could you imagine even trying to justify voting in the last election?!?!
