They're specifically referring to the amount of people who turned up. Saying thousands, when it's actually millions, changes the power and therefore the narrative, they hope. Have a look what is being reported, vs what's available to see, in personal accounts online. It's a good way to notice how much is screened and changed to serve the billionaires who own the media. It's an important thing to notice. If we had accurate reporting, and free media, not owned by billionaires with capitalist agendas. Would authoritarians even get voted in.

All the news outlets are reporting "thousands" and showing smaller protests, they're trying to sweep it under the rug. Even here in Australia they're reporting "thousands". To try and minimise. (Murdoch media)

I think a lot of that kind of stuff is going to happen. I don't think other countries are insulted, as much as they find it ridiculous, and to be ridiculed, I think they're going to do some inventive chaos. I think we need to be building some world bingo cards, and I'll bet we won't guess all the (hopefully hilarious) petty revenges about to snowball.
People justify their own behaviour and responses, they build justification for why *it's ok when I do it because.. *. People with narcissistic personality disorders and the such, who do very bad things, perpetually see themselves as in the right, to a delusional extent. The bad guys, genuinely think they're the good guys. We all do it, to an extent, they double down, they go big.
Talking over women, repeating what they say, as if they said it, to give it "authority", not asking questions, but just making statements, "correcting" women after they speak, either rephrasing it, or correcting minor grammar or pronunciation, (that's questionable to correct, usually nit picky and way too formal for anyone to actually use, nowadays) while completely detracting from, avoiding or distracting from the point she's making. Minimising any mentions of struggles she mentions or people in general mention, that women face, especially if men are the cause. Anyone who says not all men, or bullies someone into saying it, double points if they just focus on not all men-ing and don't even mention the original point the op was making. I could go on.
