“Scrubs” or “cleanses?” I’m pretty confident I know which word Hitler Jr. would use.

If you’re getting something for free, you aren’t the consumer, you are the product. Open Source projects (free as in speech) need some way to pay for the beer (not free). Enshittification is accelerating the conversion of services that have some form of free tier into more aggressively finding ways to monetize those users. Even services you pay for are selling your data, to make sure they can get maximum juice.

I would guess the line between the two groups is about one plank wide.

Well, the dismantling of the NOAA, the lack of local regulations on construction and zoning, the lack of land management policies, the lack of education and preparedness all seem to disproportionately affect Republican voting communities. This is a failure of the blueprint.

Sure, go ahead and put words in my mouth. Ad hominem is always in fashion. Those kids would be alive if their parents and communities did their job as part of a society or civilization.

Save the attempt at guilt for the tears of the living, not the potential of the lost. The focus should be on those accountable, not the people who bear a burden no longer.

Well, given the goal is to turn Windows into a cloud-hosted, on-demand subscription service, it makes perfect sense.

Thanks for the tip! Didn’t even consider those games, despite having been a fervent Linux user at times.

Bitcraft looks really interesting. I'm tempted to give it a whirl on my MacBook, too.

I'm still waiting for it to be delivered, but I'm not sure if I want to break it in with No Man's Sky, or start installing EmuDeck. Honestly, I want to do "all the things" as soon as I get it into my hands, given the way people gush about it.

Some Doritos Locos Tacos sound really good for lunch. Can't say that about the Confederacy.

I’m planning on clearing some space in my yard for a Rainier cherry tree, and I’m curious if anyone has some tips. I’ve read a couple of guides for selecting good spots, soil amendments, and placement near other cherry trees. Is there anything that caught you by surprise?

While I’m not expecting a 10 goal blow-out, I would like to see us break up the winning streak the Stars have going. At this point in the season, I just want to see good, fun hockey.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've seen a lot of content that's ripping on Arch Linux, from pictures of stickers being removed from laptops, to comments about it having a lot of bloat or frustrating package management. Was there a change to their policies, strategies, or distro that has turned this once proud vessel into a floating psycho ward?
