I always wonder if the people silently downvoting helpful comments like that know their downvotes are technically public, like anything you post on lemmy, if you’re using the right tool to look at a post.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to do callouts over it or even block people over a single downvote; god knows I fat finger upvotes all the time, and the only reason I don’t do the same for downvotes is Blahaj has them turned off. But boy does it validate my blocking instincts when I peek and it’s someone I’ve already blocked.

The LA LGBT Center is collecting items for people affected by the fires this Sunday, if you’re in the area and are trying to find somewhere that will accept item donations.

Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025
Time: 10 AM to 2 PM
Location: Pride Hall, 1118 N McCadden Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90038
We are collecting the following essential items:
- Nonperishable food items
- Clothing, including socks, underwear, and bras
- Shoes
- Toiletries, including tampons, maxi pads, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc.
- Baby goods, including diapers and formula
- Batteries, power banks, or other charging devices
- Cleaning supplies
- Pet care products
- Blankets and other bedding
Please bring new, unwrapped items or gently used shoes and clothing (excluding socks and underwear). Items collected will be donated to distribution efforts in the communities affected by the fires.
They should study whatever social media algorithm this freak is addicted to if they want to actually learn something about lobotomies in the modern day.
