the way a lot of dnd writing handled neutral was really dumb imo. "i did something good so now i must do something evil to preserve The Balance." nobody has thought like that in the entire history of humanity.

real flight suits are olive drab because SERE and stuff I guess

but if you get blown out into space and survive, stealth is the opposite of what you want. you want to stand out as much as possible so that somebody, anybody can get to you before your oxygen runs out.

but then again while typing this i remembered that the x wing helmets weren't sealed like the TIE helmets were, and their suits were all black, so I guess the real reason is because George was doing color theory and wanted to make the two teams stand out visually from one another.

poster brings reciepts proving that tons of japanese people also use pirate websites

everyone including people in this thread act like it is characteristic of the Japanese brain pan to bootlick corporations over IP laws and not just a handful of people on twitter

...do "people" hate Korra, or so some progressives think it was lib and most watchers thought it was fine but not as good as the original?

anyway everyone in the imperial core is definitely 12. capitalism turned us into babies.

Little bit of pokemon champions whenever I can't stand looking at the godot editor for a while. I'm trying to get all of the eevees together cuz I saw a hilarious team that uses them all and i want to play it.

If they would just have some discreet buttons for the toilet, you could play it off like you were just adjusting your seat and making yourself a bit more comfortable by lowering your pants as you then sweatily and determinedly void the contents of your colon into the in-car toilet, hiding your grunts and plopping sounds by just cranking up the music to near-deafening levels.

Your white-knuckled hands on the steering wheel and grimaces of pain from the presumably harrowing emergency pooping process could just be explained away by the fact that you’re trying to really focus on driving.

I copied all of the equations and stuff from the internet, the only thing I had to figure out was how to put it together with gdscript's _ready and signal connections. It was so rewarding to get working it's hard to describe - I was using kenny.nl sounds before and those are good but having authentic arcade waveforms really shot my project to the next level.

(reposting cuz the last mega is kil)

Today I made THREE (!!!) games in Godot. Breaksteroids (breakout but you gotta hit asteroids with the ball), Pongout (Pong but you gotta break your opponent's breakout bricks to score), and Asterout (asteroids but the UFO has a shield of breakout bricks).

The last one kinda sucks, I guess they can't all be winners. But Breaksteroids is like a big, moving pinball machine, because the Pong ball bounces unpredictably off of the random asteroids vertices. I didn't forsee it but it RULES. Pongout is neat, you stay at the highest ball speed for a lot longer so it has a different intensity than regular Pong, but isn't super remarkable.

I also basically programmed a simple synthesizer in GDScript. Now all of my boops and beeps are replaced programmatically instead of being mp3s or wavs - and the difference is HUGE! Asteroids sounds so much more like asteroids than it did before, I can't believe how well it worked out. Basically because I recreated the same single channel wave generation that old arcade games used I also inadvertently recreated the same audio bugs, so when you're spamming the "shoot" key and the bullet sounds are stepping on each other it sounds exactly like a classic arcade cabinet.

Tomorrow I'll be working on bringing Tetris and Space Invaders mechanics into my component ecosystem. Dunno what I'll make then - Asteris, a game where tetrominoes fall and you have to shoot pieces off of them to make them fit? Break Invaders, where you have to defeat the Space Invaders with a pong ball?

"Hurry up! The squirrels are right down this trail!"

Just wanted to get this thought out there. Space on the internet is infinite, and changing to a new domain is easy and cheap. Let the people who have poisoned their brains with anti tankie rhetoric pay the DNS landlord hundreds of dollars for the privilege of setting up a redirect to NATO's website or whatever, our money and effort is better spent on literally anything else.
