Goated response

Sure, if you're in a space where people aren't technologically proficient that's fair. But this behavior is most prevalent here on lemmy, and i seriously doubt anyone who has managed to find their way to this platform doesn't know that linux exists. It just becomes real insufferable real fast.

Stupid-ass title.

Well it at least seems he doesn't care about privacy, if he chose to upload a selfie to get past the check.

In this case the legislation would be used to ban recall and similar features, not to drive people away from windows.

Unfortunately my experiences with linux tell me that i will have to engage with the community, because there will be shit i need to look up and fix fairly often.

If i ask "how do i change the oil filter on my *insert car model here*" and you answer "get an electric car" i'm gonna think you're annoying and a bit of an asshole, especially if you keep doing it over and over on every similar question. It's not a "solution" that interests anyone when they ask that kind of question. Fuck off.

The problem is not the planet surviving, we know it'll most likely be fine eventually. The problem is that we're causing wide-spread death and destruction, including our own.

On the "numbers and counting" part they crossed over 5 lines instead of 4, I am upset.

Sounds like it's more likely to be men like OOP who turn you gay then

It's almost as if we humans have a span of temperatures that is comfortable to live in, and if the temperature goes beyond that -- above or below -- people aren't happy.

The fact that things might get worse in the other direction later doesn't mean they aren't bad right now.

For anyone wondering, Arwen sometimes lived in Lothlórien. They didn't meet until Aragorn was 20-something, so it wasn't quite that bad.

Welp, it's official. Been a good(?) run everyone. Here is the paper that is referred to.

Edit: So, reading the actual paper, the article is somewhat sensationalized (shocker, i know). It is still possible to prevent collapse, but it requires extensive and fairly quick reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
