Trebuchets aren't really a tool for defence. They have tremendous range and aren't exactly speedy to load, aim, and launch.

Unless you meant defence in the same way that a country's military operations are known as "defence forces" regardless of intent, in which case carry on.

I think PwC should have had to return whatever they'd charged the government for consultancy, as well as a massive fine on top of that. Governments around the world need to start giving penalties to corporations that actually deter them from doing the wrong thing.

Brisbane, but I'm also overweight so my perception of the cold may be skewed.

You're right, I should have been clearer: This doesn't work in Queensland, aside from the two to three weeks of jumper weather we get per year.

I haven't played Starfield yet, but from what I've read it seems to be the next step in the procedurally generated games that Bethesda is heading towards, and I really hope it makes them rethink things for their next game.

While I'm sure that there are people out there who enjoy the fact that there are infinite fetch quests in Skyrim, it's hardly a feature that anyone really raves about. In fact, the Minutemen quests in FO4 were often the subject of ridicule when the game came out. But at least in those two games, the Radiant quests had the possibility of taking you to an interesting location you hadn't been to before.

Like you said, one of the key features in any Bethesda game is the exploration, but the more they rely on procedural generation, the less interesting exploration becomes, and the gameplay and writing of their games just isn't strong enough without the finely crafted world-building they're known for.

The 4th one was the second best, in my opinion. I haven't seen 5 though, but from what I can tell it wasn't very well-received.

They should have made every movie standalone, 2 and 3 had too many moments where I felt they were just dragging things out to justify a cliffhanger and a sequel.

I never owned a NES, but had a SNES and my brother also borrowed his friend's Mega Drive (Genesis for those of you in the US) from time-to-time. All of us would blow the connectors on the cartridges, regardless of console. If anything went wrong with a game, the first step to troubleshoot was to take the cartridge out and give it a good blow.

It was never about how the console actually worked, a five year-old isn't going to logically think about that. It was all about a perceived performance increase by doing it.

They're still working on Daredevil though. They had to replace the showrunners because they were developing it as an episodic court drama rather than a Daredevil show to follow on from the Netflix series.

There is a mod on Nexus, the Life Saver Mod, which is supposed to auto save whenever you enter combat. But it hasn't been updated since 2020 and doesn't work on the release version. Hopefully the author comes back to it, or someone releases something similar.

They're fundamentally different systems. RTWP tends to be faster and more reactionary because everything happens at once. Turn-based is more strategic, because you can only react to things after they happen, but it is a lot slower.

RTWP games do tend to have auto-pause options that can be set up to simulate turn-based systems, but no amount of pausing will change the way the game plays when not paused.

Loving the small tweak to MJ's look, she's a bit closer to her comic book counterpart now. Miles' new hairstyle is also awesome.

Super stoked with how this looks. This is the game I'm most looking forward to this year.

Jedi Fallen Order and its sequel show that EA has studios that are more than capable of making singleplayer games without all the live service bullshit. They just need to be allowed to do so. Fingers crossed that this new studio will be given the chance to make a good game!
