The context would be everything here. If the OP is claiming internal struggle between various populations of people in the area have caused the issues of the middle east, he would be wrong. If OP is discussing the consistent attacks and interference by colonial, imperialist, globalist, capitalist powers from all corners of the earth because of the intrinsic value of exploitable resources of the area, they're right. Same with Africa.

The entire middle east is not a series of nomadic people, nomads are sub populations at best, they're are plenty of stationary groups that have lived in a specific area and have built nations based on those links.
