Exactly what I'd expect for something associated with Musk.

[-] m13@lemmy.world 30 points 2 months ago

Elon Musk is a psychopathic white supremacist narcissist who gets high on ketamine and thinks he can bully workers into making whatever sci fi tech he’s read about into reality then lie to everyone about it’s capabilities.

I'm sure he reads the onomatopoeias in his comic books. He clearly knows words like "POW!" "Wham!" and "Biff!"

You’re right. I think he skims the Wikipedia article about the thing at most. Like when he makes references to stuff like Evangelion, Blade Runner, etc. and completely fucks it up.

He knows all about blade runner, he only failed the test by 3 points!

The brazillian expert Miguel Nicolelis said this shit was doomed to failed from the start. The fucking scientists knew every fault of this shit implant but no one listened

What were the reasons he cited? I am not a brain surgeon or tech expert

[-] ZeroHora@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

I'll tell what I remembered from some interviews he did in Brazil: He research this tech for years and did some implants 20 years ago, now he and others believes that a non-invasive solution is the goal to cure paralyzed patients. In 2016 world cup he showed a paralyzed guy using a exoskeleton to kick a ball. The invasive chip not only have no real benefit but also has a huge chance of failure because of how the brain moves in the skull. He's very critical with neuralink and calls it bad sci-fi.

It's entirely expected from a Musk company.
