There was a "reality" show about this called "Pig Royalty" about two rival Texan families who competed in pig showing competitions like this. It was made by the same production company as Breaking Amish so that's why "reality" is in sarcastic airquotes. It's basically two seasons of this with some manufacturered drama peppered in.

It got canceled after the second season and has since been scrubbed from Discovery+ streaming (v sus). Also, one of the kids on the show committed suicide in 2024 very heartbreaking

Just gonna get this out of the way: I know nothing about showing pigs.

I know about eating them. They’re delicious. But while they’re alive, I couldn’t tell you what makes a good pig or a winning pig or anything like that.
