There were no monkeys when dinosaurs existed, also more time elapsed between the stegosaurus in the back existing and the t rex and triceratops than between them and us.

You don't know!! You were not there!!!

[-] DontRedditMyLemmy@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

Doesn't mean they weren't checking their security system video feed every few million years. Monkeys spotted, time to head home!

And throughout it all...sharks.

Stegosaurs = ~150 million years ago

Sharks = ~450 million years ago

It’s kinda hard to explain, but we’ve dug up almost all of your ancestors’ bodies and put them on display. Ooh, and the kids love it.

[-] Num10ck@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

we desecrated the bodies of billions of them to create disposable containers and fuel their delivery.

[-] teft@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago

We don't make fuel or plastics from dinosaurs. We make fuel and plastics from ancient plankton and algae.

[-] morrowind@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

I'm not sure they're really bodies anymore

[-] MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 months ago

That's not all we did with the bodies...

The TV series Earth: Final Conflict, made by Gene Roddenberry, had a story based on this premise:-).

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Star Trek Voyager did too.

They ran across a race of super-advanced aliens in the Delta Quadrant that were evolved from dinosaurs.
