Didn't they add the ability to hide the fact that you're playing those porn games a while back?

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 98 points 1 year ago (1 children)

hides when he plays porn games

Still displays achievements from said porn games on profile

[–] ryven@lemmy.dbzer0.com 40 points 1 year ago (2 children)

This is why your profile can be set to private.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 36 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But then who would know I 100% completed Kobold Kare?

Even from friends?? You’re telling me I could have continued playing fluffi fluffi pawnic even while my mom was gaming in the other room? So many missed orgasms.

[–] sukhmel@programming.dev 57 points 1 year ago

They added the ability to hide specific games owned/played recently. Before that the only way was private profile

[–] zer0squar3d@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 year ago

Yes and works very well.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 123 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Anon needs to figure out what an alt is

[–] fidodo@lemmy.world 47 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Ironic when they're posting on an anonymous platform

[–] slumlordthanatos@lemmy.world 84 points 1 year ago

Just get a second account. They're free.

I have a second account for all of my filth, it's easy.

You chose the furry life, anon, it didn’t choose you. Drop the nukes and boldly show your friend the endless depths of your depravity.

[–] Manzas 2 points 1 year ago

If your friend wouldn't keep you as a friend if you were a furry don't hide it you won't get away with it ask my half cousin that absolute degenerate

[–] Thcdenton@lemmy.world 42 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Dude on my friends list leaves it completely public. Always know when he's crankin his hog

[–] Fizz@lemmy.nz 28 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Right click on his name and click watch game

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] Fizz@lemmy.nz 7 points 1 year ago

Yes but by default it gives a pop-up asking if you want to stream. In the options you can set it to no or always allow I think

[–] Dkiscoo@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

Pure confidence

[–] Retrograde@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Damn what a power move

[–] Butterpaderp@lemmy.world 27 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They just added ways to make games private on your game, likely for this exact scenario

You don't have to share your library with your friends. You can keep all that shit to yourself

[–] naeap@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So it also doesn't show up at theirs with 'currently playing...'?

Honest question, never bothered to look into it, but always found it weird, that everyone in three friend list sees what I'm doing - although I get the incentive

[–] Restaldt@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yes you can change steam to not show your current game in friend lists

Just shows you as online

[–] p5yk0t1km1r4ge@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

Embrace chaos. Keep everything public.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Have him buy the game from a (preferably legit) key reseller and send you the key.

[–] Player2@lemm.ee 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] lemmyvore@feddit.nl 2 points 1 year ago

My thoughts exactly. Asking to become Steam friends just for a one-off bday gift is a bit much.

[–] drislands@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

Give the relative your email address instead of the account. You'll still get the game that way

[–] SuperSynthia@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There are furry games on steam. No! No this is terrible. I can’t believe this. Where? Where exactly are the furry games so I can avoid them. Like where specifically?

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well, you're in a green text community, so I guess start with Furry Hitler

[–] ryannathans@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

I prefer sex with stalin

[–] JayObey711@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

That's what steamkeys are for. They are also more profitable for the creator!

[–] Wooki@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Steam Gift Card…..

[–] morphballganon@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Just say the game you want is for a console and can they please order a physical copy.

They're a relative so giving them your address isn't weird.

[–] Lizardking27@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

"Said steam account is filled to the brim with furry shit"

Bruh.

[–] insufferableninja 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

i know it's not the point of the post, but people that use "which" incorrectly like this really grinds my gears

in which, to which, etc. it isn't that hard

[–] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Can you elaborate on the issue to which you are referring?

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It seems correct? Like "for which I will have no response" and "which I will have no response for." It's not even Yodafied. It's just a mildly complicated construction.

Ask for money instead and then buy it yourself.
