I'll kick us off I guess.

The Kings of Leon song about one's 'Sex being on fire'? Yeah I have no idea what that means. What does 'your sex is on fire mean'?

If you read the Wikipedia entry, then the song was supposed to be named "set us on fire" but was misheard as "sex on fire", they found it funny and ran with it. And it's about one of the band members partners.

So no, it's not about STIs. If you want more meaning given the lyrics, then someone's genitals is sometimes referred to as their "sex" so "your sex is on fire" could mean your genitals are hot. Or, "on fire" can mean good at something so it could mean they're good at sex.

A friend of a friend slept with the lead singer of Kings of Leon and allegedly he gave her gonorrhoea so it turned out to be quite literal

Your “sex” is your pubes, and “on fire” is a rash. He’s saying you have VD.

I thought it was a song about good sex, like something being "fire" is good, it's hot. Flames are often associated with love and passion. So I thought it was a song about being good at hot sex.

But the burning sensation of certain STIs would also make sex burn like fire.

🤷‍♀️

What does ‘your sex is on fire mean’?

It's about STIs - get a bit of natural yogurt on it and it should be fine.

natural yogurt

Is this a euphemism, that seems like the opposite of what you should do??

Don't quote me, as I'm not a sexologist, but I think it works along the same lines as the hair of the dog.

Me, an alcoholic, instantly understands and nods sagely

I lost a friend to the hair of the dog - turned out he wasn't just hungover but had a dangerous (but treatable) lung infection.

Good luck with the drinking - I've not touched a drop in 20 years now, but it was a tough road getting there.

I've massively reduced my intake, though I'm not dry. Bit of a way to go though

What do I do if Bob is indeed my uncle, but it's not alright?
