WASHINGTON (AP) — An FBI informant has been charged with fabricating a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, his son Hunter and a Ukrainian energy company, a claim that is central to the Republican impeachment inquiry in Congress.

Alexander Smirnov falsely reported to the FBI in June 2020 that executives associated with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma paid Hunter and Joe Biden $5 million each in 2015 or 2016, prosecutors said in an indictment. Smirnov told his handler that an executive claimed to have hired Hunter Biden to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” according to court documents.

Prosecutors say Smirnov in fact had only routine business dealings with the company in 2017 and made the bribery allegations after he “expressed bias” against Joe Biden while he was a presidential candidate.

Smirnov, 43, appeared in court in Las Vegas briefly Thursday after being charged with making a false statement and creating a false and fictitious record. He did not enter a plea. The judge ordered the courtroom cleared after federal public defender Margaret Wightman Lambrose requested a closed hearing for arguments about sealing court documents. She declined to comment on the case.

The informant’s claims have been central to the Republican effort in Congress to investigate the president and his family, and helped spark what is now a House impeachment inquiry into Biden. An attorney for Hunter Biden, who is expected to give a deposition later this month, said the charges show the probe is “based on dishonest, uncredible allegations and witnesses.”

Hahahaha. If this were true, it just proves there is no bottom to how fucking pathetic the cults leadership and base can get.

The informants name is Russian, so it would also probably mean many R's — maybe the ones who visited Russia on July 4th — were bribed with millions of dollars, and Russian state energy officials have something to do with it... They aren't smart enough to make shit up. All they can do is reverse their own crimes on their enemies.

A family member bought that Hunter Biden Laptop book and I browsed through, I noticed that they intentionally put a random story of sexual abuse adjacent to an anecdote from a Biden family member to confuse people into thinking the two events were related.

They truly will sink to any low. I hope Hunter's Defamation suit is going well.

This would truly be the cherry on top.

  • Questionable Burisma payments? May never have happened.
  • Laptop someone identifying as Hunter Biden gave to a blind, pro-Trump repair shop owner? Might not even exist.
  • E-Mails published by the New York Post? A mix of real e-mails with ones that could not be validated.
  • Cloned hard drive handed to the New York Post? Tampered with, real e-mails and pictures mixed with possibly planted things.

I had assumed that at least the initial whistleblower report was in good faith.

Well, we know for a fact that hunter is guilty of one thing.

Having a massive cock.

That laptop looked like so so much bullshit from the start. That thing has probably never been near him. Mixed email applications and different format email archive dumps of different kinds on the same computer? Random partial data from various online services? No evidence of regular files appearing from regular use of a normal computer, ONLY online account data?

They definitely hacked some of his accounts and had multiple people dump random data and collected it on the same computer. And probably planted some bullshit too.

What a shocker.

Will be interesting to see the lengthy discussions they're having about this in r/conservative

The lengthy discussions about how far they should shove their fingers in their ears.

[-] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 8 months ago

Are you sure? They do a lot of taking out of their asses, I always just assumed that’s what they listen with too, and where their fingers spend most of the time as a result.

He only lied because he couldn't find evidence to support his claims. Give the guy a break.
