He said it to skirt consequences. There are still far too many people that think he's a journalist.

True AND it is the easiest way to dismiss his actions. Added bonus, if he tries to admit he is a journalist and not an entertainer, back to court he goes.

Propagandist says "it's just a prank, bro!"

What the fuck is OP on?

[-] tryptaminev@feddit.de 1 points 8 months ago

Well if nobody cared and listened, he would not be able to agitate. The worst thing to a propagandist is no attention.

Wait, do you mean to tell me that anyone still gives a shit about Tucker Carlson??? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

[-] AlternatePersonMan@lemmy.world 22 points 8 months ago

Unfortunately lots of people do.

I wish any program that even remotely associates itself with being news has to identify that it's entertainment and not to be taken as fact, at the start of every episode. Probably still wouldn't help, but maybe ..

If you are ok with for-profit "news" not existing, then I don't see a problem.

If he was insignificant, Putin wouldn't have given him an interview. He's a useful idiot for the people who want to turn the US into a Russian vassal state.

Tens and tens of millions of Americans hang on his every word.

Wow. You heard it here folks. Tucker Carlson is over. He's finished. No one will ever listen to him ever again.
