God, imagine if that drunk POS were to run for office and win. Hard to say which douchebag would be worse for the country, him or "JD".

Hegseth is a full-on neo-nazi. The kind of shit cunt who would quite happily start a fucking Crusade. He's a sadist who loves homoeroticism but in a bad way. (The good way is playing grab-ass with the boys and being their wingman and talking about how fantastic they are as if you were deep in them)
JD is a spineless weasel. He just wants to fuck couches and feel important but he's a awkward weirdo. But his paymaster is Peter Thiel and he's sadistic, completely psychopath, and doesnt see humanity at all. So he might just do whatever PT says, which is more likely turning humans into mindless slaves.
Hegseth would prefer to just kill everyone. So I'd take Couchy instead.
This is Sofa King true!
How hard do you suppose the Pentagon is working to keep Hegseth from killing Hasan himself (and presumably drinking his blood, too).
Not at all. I'm sure he won't shut up about it, but he's just a schoolyard bully; shouting "hold me back" while no one actually intervenes.
I don't think he has the intelligence to even find the guy on his own, let alone the balls to do anything.
The Trumpers haven't quite reached 764 levels of evil just yet. There's still a few decades to go before that happens.
As long as nobody votes other parties in significant numbers, I reckon it'll be much shorter than that. Look how far the US has fallen in the past two years.
As long as nobody votes other parties in significant numbers
That's not going to happen. The last time it did, there was a civil war brewing that didn't align with the existing parties. Whether or not there is such a thing brewing today, it falls across party lines and isn't going to spawn third party voters.
That's why the DSA (and other progressives) winning Democratic primaries is so important. Now, we have neoliberals having to choose between voting for progressives or MAGA. Thirty years ago maybe they would have voted for Republicans in significant numbers, but MAGA has gone so far right that I think not many could stomach it.
That's all being said, 20 or so DSA are a spoiler, not a dominant faction. Their power in shaping policy will be in opposing Democrats (voting with MAGA) to try to force them to go further left to pass votes. Politics is just madness.
Well said. The only thing I'd add is that while politics is indeed madness anymore, IMO the old structures are too corrupt, beyond saving. Even the fact that the DSA is forced to form within the Democratic Party as a spoiler because it is literally impossible to win otherwise is proof of how rigid, stacked, and unworkable the old politics has become.
We cannot go back to the old now, and to me that is a good thing. If we're lucky this turns out like the 1974 midterms (Nixon resigned in August; the midterms were November and the Republicans got hit hard) and gives us some progressive wins.
Trying to soft launch his reality show host career.
Petty partisan prick pursues path to prison!
Honestly, the non-strategic retreat and withdrawal from the middle east is kind of based.
I don't think he did it on purpose, but that kind of Praxis would have taken decades without him.
They at least put a foot through the crooked-ass dealership model. They might do better with new leadership.
