I don't have a shred of empathy for the condemned man. But anyone looking forward to watching an execution is severely fucked in the head.

Yes, 100%.
In addition to the moral plane, there is the practical one - this man said he wanted to be a martyr and so we....grant him that? It also seems like it would just be fertile ground for making more terrorists.
Honestly, I think it'd be so much better to have him live the rest of his life in confinement. Murdering him livestream seems like the very worst option for the United States, though, and so of course Hegseth is excited about it.
Him and the bullshit idea of "warrior ethos", oh my god. 🙄 I always wonder how much Hegseth talks about his protein intake to those around him, too, FFS.
Frankly I'd forgotten about him. I mean not in the sense I had to look it up, but out of sight, out of mind. I could've lived the rest of my life and never wondered whatever happened to that guy.
The Fort Hood guy? Yeah, same. That's kind of the best way to handle a terrorist like this. He probably wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, but was captured alive?
Anyway, I guess now we are doing that for him instead of just letting him live out the rest of his years in relative obscurity.
Fucking embarrassing.
Might as well give him an interview while they're at it.
"Hello, Mr. Hasan. Would you like to tell us your expectations for your execution today? And do you think you will meet God after death?"
I think every single Trump supporter and MAGA politician should be forced to watch the execution with their eyes wide open with that clockwork orange contraption.
They cannot hide from these horrors because we are literally living in it.
He's a piece of shit but he's in a fucking wheelchair ffs. Why do they think shooting a man in a wheelchair live on TV will make them look strong? It makes them look weaker.
he's brown AND disabled. Two-fer i guess?
Well, he was disabled during the mass shooting.
I look forwards to having proof of Trump's head leave his shoulders asap.
I think that if you're Speaker and you're not actively against it being broadcast, you should be forced to watch it.
All of those fuckers should have to watch it!
All these fuckwrs should have their day.
Of course he won’t, this would cause him to masturbate, and him and his son have a deal to make sure they don’t masturbate
I'm not sure Covenant Eyes will flag it as jerk-off material.
Look, anyone with half a shred of a conscience wouldn't. This should be a no-brainer. But the most nonconfrontational politician in Washington isn't hiding behind a simple "I haven't heard about it" or "I'll be washing my hair?" Or just straight-up lying?
That's surprisingly encouraging, honestly. Any little crack in their lock-step is encouraging.
Yeah, I'm used to seeing him walking at a fast pace just under a full sprint, away from those asking the questions, all while seemingly being the least informed person in the nation.
I though he and his son would masturbate together to it.
He already committed to watching his son's porn intake for that day, he's a man of his word.
This is the exact sort of Old Testament, eye-for-an-eye punishment that ought to give that guy a priapasm. And yet he takes the most spineless, milquetoast, non-commital way out of it, “My colleagues have reservations…”
What a pathetic chump.
Mike, if you’re gonna tear down the walls between church and state, you’re gonna have to work harder than this, bub. Come on.
