I think the key objectives were to destabilize the region to the benefit of Israel and Russia's oil sector. Both somewhat successful.
The united states started this war and is the largest oil producer in the world
It was to crush the biggest obstacle to greater Israel from Israel side and control of trade routes and iranians resources for the American.
Corrected:
I think the key objectives were to destabilize the region to the benefit of Israel and ~~Russia~~USA's oil sector.
How does this benefit Israel, and why would the IRGC want to do anything that benefitted them? OC is just a dumbass.
I think the comment was intended to be about the war as a whole, which was basically started by Israel whispering sweet nothings in the Pedo-in-Chiefs ear until he attacked Iran
Because Israel got away with genocide , they fell invincible and wanted to crush Iran so everybody who are victim of their colonial policies has no longer anyway to resist. Iran not collapsing ia a lose for Israel and give Irsn more ligitimacy to directly attack Israel
I've understood Zer0_F0x comment as «[The US/Trump] key objectives…». LOL, in any case, i it makes no sense at all.
The US / Trump key objectives were to do whatever Israel told them to do first and foremost, so that the genocide and annexation could continue.
Second, everyone knew that as soon as Iran would be attacked they'd shut down Hormuz which immediately shoots oil prices up for US companies and drives everyone who doesn't want US oil specifically towards Russia (hint: China, who buys about 90% of Iran's oil, also imports half its crude from Russia).
I strongly disagree with your first assertion: Israel has forced us against our will. That is a convenient scapegoat[^1] for supporters of the sometimes-socially-progressive faction of the US bourgeois party. Destabilizing and interfering in other countries and regions has been a standard US policy for over 150 years.
I also disagree with the second statement: everyone knew that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz. At least the media in my country did not foresee such an outcome; Nor did I expect Iran to humiliate the United States in that way and for so long. Perhaps the USA, after seizing Venezuelan oil, became overconfident, believing that a worst-case scenario would not negatively affect the interests of its oligarchs. But to think that the US is acting against its own interests and in favor of Russia's is utter nonsense.
Edit to add this note: [^1]: and also for fascists, Nazis, and antisemites.
Trump though that the decapitalization would work so the opening of the straight would have been very quick. The help for Russia was unintentional
blueanon bullshit, you libs are so pathetic you cannot even accept the defeat of your white supremacist empire even if your opposing bourgeois party is defeated.
Choosing your key objectives after the fact from a list of outcomes is a sure-fire way to never fail. Actually what we wanted was to strengthen Russia and Iran, they were just too passive without war. Economic war against China is just because we needed more competition in semiconductors and microprocessors.
