Is this with iOS 27? I have not updated to it and it seems I will not at all.
I’ll copy my comment to another post with a similar/same article:
Definitely not new and the way the articles headlined I thought there was some sort of ad in iOS that was blatant that I hadn’t noticed.
Using the same language as the article (not very accurate) “iOS users don’t use the settings app and won’t see ads.”
Just to be clear for those that wooshed; people do go into settings but it’s not like every user is staring at the settings app everyday. The ads also aren’t very intrusive, so comparing them to the Windows start menu ads, which the article does, is ridiculous.
In summary; ads are bad and crap sensationalist reporting is also bad.
"Wouldn't ever be me," I think smugly, opening the menu on my FOSS Firefox browser and being greeted with...
at least yours is app based, and not baked into the OS
