It turns out that President Donald Trump may not have thought through all the consequences before he banned some of his most hated news outlets from the White House.

After Trump declared CNN, MS NOW, and Politico “fake news” and exiled them from the White House grounds on Friday, the other networks that make up the White House press pool—including ABC, CBS, NBC, and even Fox News—agreed to boycott their pool duties on Monday in solidarity with the banned outlets.

Lol, will it be a TACO Tuesday?

President Turdbrain does a turdbrain thing because he is a turdbrain

The only ones surprised by this are other turdbrains

Every second that passes wherein this man is not assassinated is a great shame on this nation.

It is a global absurdity that the two people who have actually tried so far were amongst the dumbest of all humans ever to exist

Can we get a smart person on this, please? 8 billion people would thank you.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Thats because they were a political setup allowed to get close during an election year. They frothed his base into a rabid fury. Notice how two happened back to back before the election and then radio silence for two years?

Are you smart or dumb, or are you just trying to get others to do what you want?

[–] eurodyne@piefed.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Clearly, you have answered your own question

Clearly, you have answered your own question

You don't often see people admit to trolling like that.

You're smart enough to do it, you don't need a degree in rocket science.

Buy a plane ticket, get to work! Eight billion people are desperate for your strong leadership.

Maybe it can stay like this forever

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

Right? Can we, please? I can bear to look at him WAY more than I can bear to listen to that fucking dipshit.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 50 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (3 children)

and even Fox News

WHAT!?

Aidan McLaughlin, the Washington correspondent for Vanity Fair, suggested on social media that, at the rate things are going, a lawsuit may not even have been necessary.

“He’s gonna lift the ban by the end of the week,” he predicted.

Yeah, this guy doesn't work that way. That's too rational of a thought process.

E: they just introduced "Trump TV", I was right again 🤣😭

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Fox News knows the long con. You start banning outlets that don’t say nice things they get booted when dems take control.

Or even if they say things that don’t slobber Trump enough.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sure, I just don't understand why they can't apply this simple logic to anything else?

[–] PokerChips@programming.dev 7 points 2 weeks ago

They did the maths and realized they could get away with it along dimb magats. They mathed this one and realized it would backfire.

I'm genuinely surprised that these right-wing desks joined in.

[–] Master167@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

With the announcement of Trump TV, this ban was just a cover to legitimize state run media.

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 43 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I love that even Newsmax couldn't sugarcoat this blunder.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 62 points 2 weeks ago

The president's voice could be heard faintly. But his words were inaudible over the whir of a helicopter parked nearby.

"There's no microphone because the pool cameras aren't there," explained Bianca de la Garza, who was covering the event for the Trump-friendly outlet Newsmax.

The anchor said this was maybe "one example" of the president's attack on the media "backfiring just a little bit."

Oh they tried

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 41 points 2 weeks ago

It is called the Oval Office, and it should be treated with Decorum, Respect, and Dignity, not defiled by Third Rate Clowns

Well, what the fuck is he doing there, in that case?!

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That video is hilarious. There's no microphones. So he's talking to nobody.

[–] savvie@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 weeks ago

“crazy old dude talking to clouds”

[–] redbrick@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What's bad about this? I mean...do we really want to hear this buffoon talk?

[–] savvie@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

a permanent cone of radio silence around Tiny Dee unto eternity would be most welcome!

Trump has made a comment on this situation:

As expected, Fake News CNN, Politico (Pay back the 8 Million Dollar contribution made by the U.S. Government to keep them afloat!), and MSNOW (formerly known as MSDNC!), have brought suit to gain access to the White House, and your President, ME! They have drawn a great Judge, for them, a man who ruled in favor of Jim Acosta, who now seems to have disappeared from the Planet. The Judge’s name is Tim Kelly, and he was, sadly, appointed by “TRUMP.” In other words, almost without question and, as usual, we’ll go for appeal because Fake News people and publications that only write negatively, and who violate our National Security by writing false and defamatory stories with unknown “sources,” shouldn’t be allowed access to the most important Office anywhere in the World. It is called the Oval Office, and it should be treated with Decorum, Respect, and Dignity, not defiled by Third Rate Clowns, who purposefully distort, twist, and degrade with everything they write or publish. Virtually every story about me, or anything having to do with me, is negative, wrong and, in many cases, DANGEROUS for our Country! No matter how GREAT my Achievements, they trivialize and demean. The fact is, I won all seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, the Electoral College (312 to 226), and the Counties throughout America by 86%, and yet it is reported that I get 94% bad publicity. With such a Crooked and Corrupt Press, how did I win in such a LANDSLIDE? It is because the Media has NO credibility, and that is a very bad thing for our Nation! Why should I have to give “access” to such people? Perhaps Judge Kelly could explain that! In any event, I have an obligation to fight for the Success and Safety of our Country. FAKE NEWS IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY, and I will do whatever is necessary to make sure that the U.S.A. thrives. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Source, I guess

[–] Red0ctober@lemmy.world 42 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I read about 20% of that before my brain couldn't interpret the words 😂

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 20 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I got to "It is called the Oval Office, and it should be treated with Decorum, Respect, and Dignity, not defiled by Third Rate Clowns" and laughed because he's the biggest circus clown of all.

Oh Donnie, you can't afford Third Rate Clowns anymore... Look around you! The Third Raters jumped ship after the last administration, and most of them have gone pretty quiet or cashed out on your dirty laundry.

The best you have these days are maybe a few Amateur Jesters, definitely no Clowns of Professional Rating.

Natalie didn't change his diaper so he threw a tantrum.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Maybe he didn't boot them himself. Maybe one of the assistants removed the press to keep him from physically attacking them. He has been escalating to that.

People always come up to me, with tears in their eyes, and they say, ‘Sir, nobody has smaller, more beautiful hands than you.’ And it’s true! They are magnificent, perfectly proportioned, truly world-class hands - the fake news likes to exaggerate, but everybody knows my fingers are absolute perfection! And you know, when you’re a star, they just let you do it. You can do anything. You can grab ’em by the pussy with these little hands - and let me tell you, nobody grabs better than me, okay? Nobody!

Hee hee that’s awesome!

This is what hits most his pride

Not when he's "slammed" by some article.

Not when he's "bashed" on another article.

When his voice is silenced, that's when his narcissism hits the most.

Anyway, nothing of value was lost if the world didn't hear his ramblings today. Maybe the world was more productive today.

[–] ClownStatue@piefed.social 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I hate Fox as much as anyone with a functioning brain, but saying, “even Fox News…” isn’t necessary. This isn’t the first time he’s gone after journalists like this, and Fox joined the other members of the press pool in their protest last time. They understand as much as anyone else that if he can ban 1 journalist/network, he can ban any journalist/network. And it’s not like they haven’t found themselves the target of his ire in the past.

Conglomerate entity is "banned" so the other comglomerate's entities also don't show up, but it's all because the news is state-owned and the fake rebellion makes everyone believe the bullshit reported later.

CNN is conservative people. This is a performance.

[–] mlg@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I'm sure someone already made a tier list, but American media belongs at the bottom.

[–] the_abecedarian@piefed.social 7 points 2 weeks ago

please continue forgetting the audio from his broadcasts
