Celebrating/talking about repairing stuff, the right to repair stuff, and the intersection of tech and solarpunk ideals.

What does it mean to use what we have, including technology, to try to build a better, more environmentally just world?

It beeps when it's done.

It beeps when you press the button.

It beeps when you place it on the base.

But today, it beeps no more.

I classify this as a repair.

I did the same thing to my refrigerator. The lights flash and it beeps in a piercing tone when you leave the doors open too long. The flashing lights is enough, I took apart the door and found the controller board and just popped the speaker off. Unbothered.

I have similar issues with insanely bright LEDs on everything.

The whole LG situation is so sad... I love my LG TV. Granted I bought it in 2007, it has no smart features or app or anything it's only 32 inches and 720p resolution. The most advanced feature is 2 hdmi ports but...

Its from 2007, moved 7 times, has been hit uncountable times by son to show which show he wants and just works every day...
