I felt like I always wanted more space, but the compromise for getting something big was also a nice way to manage difficulty. In a way, there was already too much space; I had to stop myself from using a loadout with absolutely broken healing.

Depends on the game. Often post-game there's just a checklist of chores and I'm not doing that.

Just be careful to start each game at the same time

ok maybe not

I am going back to see the rest.

Good catalogue is a must. I'm excited to see if Steam Frame will do it, and if can afford one.

The game really wants the player to look at 2B's ass.

I finished my first playtrough not long ago, got both T and A endings. Really liked it, and I'm definitely going back to see the rest.

Did you know this was a thing? If you happen to have three TVs, consoles, and copies of Gran Turismo 3 or 4 lying around, you can hook them together to a wide cockpit view. Reasonable to a sim racer, but to me it would've been the most ballin PS2 setup ever.

GT3 uses i.LINK (FireWire) to connect the consoles, while GT4 uses the network adapter. Supposedly GT4 supports up to 6 screens!

I don't have three, let alone six of any of those things, but dang I wish I did.

I thought Net Yaroze was just a PS1 thing

Yeah, I looked this up after the last post. Very cool stuff.

I guess the "OS", the dashboard UI, and all the channels and so on are separate apps that could be replaced or worked on separately, meaning there's some serious potential!

Well, I have the adapter, so I guess I have to. Someone making these decisions at Sony must have been really into Linux.

I sure wouldn't consider PS2 for the only game machine, but I guess it's a cool supplement. Even though many games have aged poorly, some still feel fine.

That sucks. I dread the day my drive dies.

Almost immediately after making the previous post, I came up with a much better way fix the board sliding back, with the exact same zip tie.

Even the translucent card looks good now!

I have a couple well worn memory cards. It seems that they like to break in a way that makes the pcb retract into the shell. I looked at what I could stuff in the back to stop this and found that zip ties do the job.

The extra glue is there to slow down a crack that could break a piece off. The result isn't great, but it's also not too bad.

Here's a picture of a good card — see how the board is held in place by two tiny plastic posts. Great design.
