My mom isn't the one that does the grocery shopping.

Anyway she came home with groceries last night and, low and behold, whole gallon of milk.

I really don't like milk? I like cheese, I'm not lactose intolerant, but milk isn't my think. It's.... Honestly it's lowkey slightly unpleasant. Quite a heavy drink.

But I hate food waste, so now I have this damn gallon of milk to consume. FUN!

Just keep it as emergency milk. I always store a gallon in the car and another on my bike in case I get stranded too far from milk.

Unsolicited jug of milk

No thanks. Do you have any unsweetened soy beverage instead?

You can make cottage cheese or paneer with it! Or use it in gravy

Buy some cornflakes of your liking and eat it with that

Cereal is alright but I don't think I really want to be eating it so much.

Milk is just.... Kinda "eugh". You know?

All sorts of baked goods use milk, lots of sauces use milk, most of mine goes on cereal or oats. I buy it by the gallon, and never drink it straight (except if it's hot chocolate).

As a side note, I'm looking for a plant milk combo that can replace it. I'm thinking rice + almond (both homemade) + coconut (store-bought).

I like cheese

You can make your own soft cheese by curdling the milk (heat and/or lemon juice), then straining and brining the curds. But then you have these damn 3 quarts of whey to consume.

Cooking with it instead of drinking it wouldn't be a bad idea. Could definitely use it in cheese-based sauces since cheese is your thing.

I bought some pastachio milk to try it at least once and it was pretty good. Too expensive to justify buying on the regular though.
