Thanks for making me feel bad for having two kids 😂

Could’ve enjoyed whatever time I have left with greater financial freedom and travel. My wife and I could’ve easily picked up and lived around the world if we wanted.

I love my kids and wouldn’t backtrack my decision, but I fear I’ve doomed them to a shit world, in which I will co-suffer with them for some time.

My sister decided to kill the reproductive curve of our family by choosing not to have kids. I don’t blame her at all.

The ruling capitalist class needs to stop bitching about reproduction rates. They’re creating a terrible world to have kids in.

The ruling capitalist class needs to stop removed about reproduction rates. They’re creating a terrible world to have kids in.

It goes to prove how much control they have over us -- they're literally complaining that were not creating enough workers/slaves for them to exploit and here we are using the words they've conditioned us to use to help hide the exploitation.

It's currently at such a bad state that the liberal democracies and restorted to child labor like it's the guilded age all over again.

Me too. I feel so fucking guilty for the suffering in their future.

It sounds like you've missed the part about how collectivization can put a stop -- or at least slow it down -- but I think that was the intention in their part.

As expected, billionaires in climatized bunkers and fuck the rest

if there is one thing that has to happen, is people must poison the fucking air vents.

Most of us don't even know where they are -- much less have the ability to rebuild weapons to fight off their mercenaries.

did you notice how much quicker they are deploying fascism? 🫠

between all the stuff happening they know we don't have much time.

I wonder if the COVID lockdown gave us a taste the impact we could have in the climate

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

my hope for humanity hinges on that answer. hopefully their economy crashes asap, will do good for the environment.

For over a decade, the world has been trying to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

Lmao. Has it?

[–] TwodogsFighting 8 points 1 month ago

Yay, the end times, just like vance suddenly has a bonnet for.

[–] joyofpeanuts@beehaw.org 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

As we still do absolutely nothing, we will shoot past the 3°C limit too. With cataclysmic consequences for humans. As we do not regulate our emissions, the consequences of our acts will, with billions eventually dying and the world population dropping back below 5 billion over the next 3 generations.

[–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 month ago

We're doing less than nothing -- we're actively making it worse since we don't like affordable & scalable green tech because dirty brown commies made it.

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Agriculture, particularly animal ag, experiences a massive collapse, based on feedlot crop failures. Good for the animals, good for the climate, bad for those who rely on animal products 3+ times per day.

Plus, further population decline. Also, a good thing for the environment. We’ve hit the ceiling of success through the technology we’ve utilized to succeed. Now it’s exceeded its benefit and we’re self-regulating our population.

This will disproportionately affect those in developing nations with higher reproduction rates and less food security. Millions upon millions will die from starvation.

Can’t wait to see the faces of those encouraging this suffering, when they realize the sky wizard isn’t coming to save them. It may be the only pleasure I get in a future of suffering, where all of us have to experience preventable suffering, based on the decisions of dumb assholes.

They will never admit they were wrong. Ever.

Abrahamic religions need to be first subjugated to the state, and churches need to be taxed. Religious education needs to be outlawed and completely scrubbed clean from public education.

Fanatics of semitic religions are dangerous and will always try to seize power by usurping the power of the state under the pretense of religious freedom, enforcing their religion upon everyone, and leading the degeneration of social and scientific progress.

The “moderates” just stand by and enable it.

In the end, the Yahwehnites ultimately need to be suppressed and their culture gradually eliminated from public consciousness. Their “religious freedom” will always subjugate intellectual freedom and lead to the persecution of the “others” who don’t follow their cults.

It’s like letting the crazy person on the street corner take the reins of society.

Now we buckle up

[–] NewOldGuard@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago

The people responsible have names and addresses. With enough organization and willpower we can stop this madness

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Absolutely nothing.
