Around 50% percent of the population are under-hydrated, with an extremely strong correlation between being well-hydrated and overall health and total morbidity.
On the other hand, one guy died in the 2000s or 1990s maybe because he drank an absolutely insane amount of water for a radio contest.
Really makes you think.
I remember the occasional person on Molly at a rave in the 1990s dying of water intoxication. But I don't think it was ever more than two or three people.
